Here's our first Championship! *Merely a test championship*

Please post here to join this championship, i'll create the championship duel order.

Restrictions : none

Difficulty : Ultimate, From "First To 2" to "First to 5"

Series Song : FF Type Zero - War : The White Weapon

Series song is a song everyone will play in order to get a first ranking.

5th will be disqualified in order to get a balanced championship (same number of fights to get in final)

For The 1v1 part we'll try this :

1st-4th FT2

2nd-3rd FT2

This way Series song get really important because if you get bad song you have to fight against the best player after that

Then for Finals

Winner vs Winner FT5

Loser vs Loser FT3

What do you say of it?

GMT means Great Britain's time without summer time, so the actual time zone of Germany and France is GMT+2 (better: UTC+2)!
Central European Summer Time (CEST) = UTC+2
Central European Time (CET) = UTC+1

About the Hour, sorry i did'nt really understand ^^' well let's just say dead line is midnight XD

I'll try it with another example:
Dazer says: Deadline is 20:00 UTC.
LeShad is in the time zone UTC+2 because it is the Central European Summer Time. So for him the deadline is 22:00.
If an user from Great Britain wants to enter the championship, he has to enter till 21:00 because the time zone there is UTC+1.

Okay, it's really a bit complicated. So the best is to be gracious and let the people in who were a bit too late.

A championship with 3 people? Shouldn't we wait for others?

Yes it seems a one-day joining deadline is too short i'll edit it for a deadline tonight.

Even with three members we can have some fun though, with another type of championships of course ^^'

Okay, so let's do it this way. Two duels and one is randomly set for the final?

That could be an idea, but that would mean there would only be two matches. I think instead of "randomly" setting someone for the finals, we could pick that player based on which one of us three gets the highest score (or the least Greats and Goods ) at a "qualifying" song.

We could also do it like this instead:

Match 1 -The two players with the best scores at the "qualifying" song play against each others
Match 2 -The loser of Match 1 then plays against the third player (who had the lowest score on the "qualifying" song)
Match 3 -The winner of Match 2 plays against the winner of Match 1
Results! -The winner of Match 3 is the Champion, because they've won two times

Doing it like this means that the two players with the highest score are less at risk, because even if you lose Match 1, you still have a chance to win Match 2 against the lowest score player, but the lowest score player HAS to win Match 2 or he's eliminated right away! It "rewards" the highest score players and "punishes" the lowest score player, but the lowest score player can still win!

Otherwise, we could do it like this:
P1 vs P2
P2 vs P3
P3 vs P1
Whoever wins two matches wins the championship… But! There's a 25% chance that everyone wins one match, and we would all be tied up.

Should we take the system with +1 (great), +2 (good) and so on? Or let the ingame score (e. g. 9965163) decide?

One qualifying song : same song for everyone.

Then specific people for next match is it?

Yeah, that's what I meant. Everybody plays the first song and we post our results, then we fight against each others using your rules for picking songs

And which song should it be? I think that it Championships should be seperated from Leagues so it should be a randomly chosen song like in the Moogle League but not today's song.
And I would say that we have to wait for Dazer once more...

Yeah, any random song would do, but I think we shouldn't pick a basic song (they're too easy).

What mode should we play in later? Ultimate with or without EX bursts?
And should the duels influence our Online Battle Rating?

I would suggest:
Everyone says if he finds this features okay or not.
So for me:
EX bursts: okay
Rating influence: not okay

If both players of a duel accept a feature, it can (and will) be used.
If at least one player doesn't acept a feature, it has to be deactivated.

This way the rules are at least a bit flexible.

EX Bursts and Ranking are okay with me.

Sorry for being so busy...

Let me explain what i understand and what could intersting for now and maybe even fo further bigger championships :

Eliminatories (can't if it's the correct term, but it's match 1)

  -A Song chosen just like Leagues (all songs types), with a diffculty set (example : this championship will only get ultimate songs)


Championship itself : the 1 vs 1 part

 -Should be a Online Battle only, diffculty set by championship,  EX Burst could bet set like difficulty as well to get a fourth type, Ranking chosen by the two players (if one say no there won't be ranking on this match) this way it would allow other players from the same championship to get ranking points if they wish to

Championship Final : Should be a longer match than the other ( example : championship FT2, Final FT5) in order to get chance to recover from a bad song.


During The 1 vs 1 Part, i really want to get the system a talked about in rules, if your first match is our song the next one MUST be the one of your opponent.

And Dazer should say if we only play Ultimate (would make sense) and if we do it with or without EX burst or open (changing from duel to duel).

Small suggestion for the championship part:

• Battle 1 (two best in the qualifying): First to 2 wins because this match is not so decisive.
  
• Battle 2 (loser battle 1 - worst in the qualifying): First to 3 wins because the first participant is eliminated here.
  
• Final Battle (winner battle 1 - winner battle 2): First to 5 wins because it's the final.
