Rules of Leagues

Hi there!

I'll explain how Leagues will be done :

• League will last about a week. One song per day.
  

• The better you play, the less points you get, the higher rank you get.
  

Here's the system :

Get a Critical = +0 points
Get a Great = +1 point
Get a Good = +2 points
Get a Bad = +5 points
Get a Miss = +10 points

• This way you can play either a Basic EMS or a Ultimate FFVIIAC 775 Combo song (Ahem) without difference on the final score.
  To post your results, post a screen on the Miiverse, then post on the image in the forum with the "insert image" icon via Miiverse image Url *Under checking since new Miverse*
  

• Missed The League Start? No worries, join whenever you want and start from the beginning. We're no EVO, we're here for fun only ;-)
  

• Be Fair!
  

Every song is a one-try performance unless issue or environnement, like low battery, technical issues or irl problems (we all have a life). I can't control that you did just one try to get your score so....Aww come one it's just a game, it's just an amateur League, it's no EVO. It'll be even more fun to see a roxxor gamer get points on a Basic song XD

• To validate your score you must post the screen the detailed score screen (critical, great, etc...) any other won't be taken as a song played

I agree with your plans.
But I've got a question: Is the idea that everybody plays the song only once? I imagine: If I suddenly get a "bad" (and this could even be caused of touchscreen issues) I will feel a need to restart the song. Should restarting be allowed?

To make it even more fair:
We could arrange online duels for the leagues. Everybody plays once or twice against every opponent. We will get 2 points for wins, 1 point for ties ans 0 points for losses. The rating (explained above by Dazer) could also be a factor which becomes decisive when multiple players have the same amount of points.
+ Pro: higher fairness
- Contra: more possible communication issues. And this would mean that the leagues and the championships are almost equal...

Give me your opinions on this.

Yes. The idea is to play it once and give this score in order to avoid the "1 Great" reset.

Is there some problems with the touchscreen while playing on Stylus Mode?


Your suggestion is very good but there are two things why i prefered mine  (already thought of this one lol) :
-as you said, league would look really like a championship
-online battle means BMS only, you lose about half the songs this way ^^'

But I can't say it's a bad idea, maybe in the future we could use it for a third system ;-)

My 3DS is already more than 4 years old and the touchscreen is badly calibrated. Unfortunately it's impossible to change this. This issue leads to slides which are interpreted wrong by the game. Button mode isn't good either because my A Button is not so reliable. And one-handed? No, I still rather want to use the touchscreen.

I totally agree with you. Forget the third system, these two are already good enough!

Yo, just a quick question. Can I still play a song that isn't the song of the day? For instance, taking the Moogle League as an example, can I still play the song for July 8th on July 9th, or is it too late?

Good question, i should write it n the rules too.

Yeah you can play them, even if we are a the 60th league day you can join it.

Like i said before, it's no EVO so it's not strict, You can also not be playing for a couple of days and come back and play the one you miss.

How do you pick the songs played each day?

Are you the only one allowed to create leagues (and championships)?

I edited on the league how i choose songs : Random for song, dice for difficulty

No i'm not the only one, you can also create Leagues and Championships, but be aware that if you start something, you'll have to moderate it ;-)

By the way, if you wish to create leagues, try to organize yourself with others to not create the same type (ex : league ultimate only) . We don't want 50 leagues at a time neither.

Thanks! That's cool. I was thinking of creating themed Leagues (a league with only airship songs, one with only sad songs, etc.) so that's good to know.

Yeah, I wouldn't run multiple leagues at the same time. It'd be annoying for players too, I think.

it depends of the league i'd say. One more now with just airships song could be short enough to not being annyoying.
